Juliet Moses is the President of the NZ Jewish Council. She is a lawyer, a mother of two sons, and a member of the Auckland Hebrew Congregation. Other broader community involvements include acting as a trustee of the Astor Foundation, which works to maintain a peaceful and harmonious society, and a trustee of the Auckland Foundation, the community foundation of Auckland, Tāmaki Makaurau.  Juliet’s writing, mostly on Jewish and socio-cultural issues, has been in Quillette, Spectator, Stuff, NZ Herald, North & South and Newsroom.

Zionism is a word that evokes complex history, strong emotions, and a myriad of political viewpoints. This panel will explore three different perspectives on the contemporary relevance of Zionism across local and global contexts.

Panel: Anti-semitism in contemporary society

Chaired by David Cohen, this panel explores anti-semitism in contemporary New Zealand, Australian, and British communities. The session will explore panelists' experiences of anti-Semitism, how this has morphed through time, and how we might combat it as a community and global society.
