Rob Berg grew up in London in a large Jewish community and lived for two years in Israel in the mid-90s. He came to New Zealand in 2007 and is an active member of the Jewish community having been President of the Zionist Federation of New Zealand for six years and a member of the New Zealand Jewish Council Executive for two years. He is currently the Chair of the Jewish National Fund in New Zealand and a Board member of the Wellington Jewish Community. Rob has written several opinion pieces for The Post and The New Zealand Herald and co-organised many of the Israel support rallies post 7 October, and has spoken at several rallies against the current Iran regime. Rob is married and has three children and two-step children splitting his time between both Wellington and Auckland.
