Micheal Scott

Michael is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the 2023 Foundation, a charity dedicated to combating antisemitism. The events of October 7, and resulting rampant antisemitism, deeply impacted Michael. He will not be a bystander and is determined to do something about it. Michael served over thirty years as an active-duty Australian Army Officer in the Royal Australian Armoured Corps. From July 2019 to September 2021, Michael was seconded to the United Nations as part of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organisation. He resided in Jerusalem and his mission area covered Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt, where he traveled extensively and gained remarkable insights. Michael is not Jewish but has a deep affinity and abiding respect for the Jewish people. He has been published in leading newspapers in Israel and Australia, writing predominantly on Judeo Christian values and raising awareness on threats to western civilization. In October 2024, he was made an honorary Life Member of Emanuel Synagogue in Woollahra, Sydney, for services to the Jewish community. Having witnessed firsthand Israel’s remarkable story, Michael is dedicated to ensuring that this story is more widely seen and heard.
