Sapeer
Mayron
Local

Sapeer Mayron started working as a journalist in 2018, after six years with Habonim Dror Aotearoa (and some study too). Her first job was in Samoa with the island nation's only independent newspaper, the Samoa Observer, and she returned to New Zealand in 2021 to work at Stuff.co.nz, The Post and the Sunday Star-Times. Since February she has been the data journalist for BusinessDesk, turning insights across the business world into charts and graphics. Along with her partner Thomas and flatmates Daniel, Seth and Ewa, Sapeer ran Auckland’s Moishe House from 2021-2025, building a community of young(ish) Jews looking for connection, togetherness and cultural celebration.
