Most people see a box that houses a scroll - but what is the purpose of the mezuzah? Who originally marked the doorposts of their house and why? What does it mean to have a prayer or a scroll or a declaration at the entrance and exit of your home? And why are we called to listen as a whole people, as a community? In this session, we will study the text and rules for making mezuzah and use this as inspiration to create one ourselves using clay. NOTE: Session is limited to 12 people - first come, first served! Clay is provided, but firing and delivery (if desired) is at participant’s cost.
