Caryn Truppman
NEW ZEALAND

Caryn has been a guild certified Feldenkrais® practitioner for 30 years. She teaches adults and children in private practice, professional training programmes, the university and in the community. This profession was inspired and founded by Moshe Feldenkrais, a pioneer in the field of neuroplasticity, who worked with Ben Gurion, the first prime minister of Israel. A long series of lessons concluded with Ben Gurion doing a head stand, which is immortalised on the beach in Tel Aviv - a creative application which we will not do this weekend! One of Caryn’s specialities is working with young people - from athletes to musicians who wish to improve their performance, to reducing injuries to babies and children with developmental issues, who learn to become mobile with grace. Caryn looks forward to teaching a lesson in sitting that everyone can do, illustrating how to improve our movement and how that literally changes our brain.

SESSION INFO

SATURDAY 2-3pm

A chair lesson: Engaging with the Feldenkrais Method®

This session will explore the Feldenkrais Method and its lineage to Jewish learning and human potential.  We will focus on improvisation in sitting. We will learn to find comfort, ease and vitality as we become curious about, and delight in, the complexity of how we move and balance.
